She is survived by: her sons, James Floyd Bennett Jr. (Jamey) and John Thomas Bennett; her significant other Wayne Reffke; her sisters, Sarah Hahn (David) and Mary Limont; her niece Susan Millay; her nephews, Andrew Dickson, Matthew Hahn, Michael Hahn and Benjamin Hahn; and her grandchildren, Eleanor Bennett, Gale Bennett, James Floyd Bennett III (Trip) and Edward Bennett (Teddy).
