He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur H. and Ruth Simmons, Sr. (Jackson); his wife Frances Simmons; his daughters, Angie Watters and Samantha Hyman; and his siblings, Jimmy, Earl Simmons, Ann Simmons and Linda Strange. He was also cherished by four grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
