He was predeceased by: his parents, Morgan Kirkland, Jr. and Diana Kirkland; his siblings, Poncherello and Kerry; and his nephew Bryson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Leeann Hicks, Faith Kirkland, Victoria Kirkland and Samantha Kirkland; the mother of his children Wendy Kirkland; his children, Grayson Kirkland, Harbor Kirkland and Hattie Kirkland; the parent of his children Angel Wells; his grandchildren, William, Melvin, Ana, Little Alan, Bentley, Paisley, Kinley, Grace and Marilyn; his close friend Virginia Gallant; and his siblings, Gary Kirkland, Rhonda Fuller, Shary Belanger (Terry) and Kelly Kirkland. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend and lifelong shrimping partner.
