She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Harold (Sharon), Debra and Aaron; her grandchildren, Cara (Julian) and Lauren; her great grandchild Isabelle; and her husband Thomas Ashcraft.

Kimiko developed Alzheimer's disease in the last several years of her life, eventually necessitating a move to Arden Courts Memory Care.
