He was predeceased by: his parent Sergeant Major Henry Coovert. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Coovert; his wife Malihe Karimi; his sons, Lt. Commander Austin Coovert and Conrad Coovert; his stepson Navid Ravaie; and his brothers, Mike, Jack and Scott.
