He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Harkins and Rose Harkins. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Michael C. Harkins Jr. (Deborah) of Dekalb, IL and Lori Harkins; his grandchildren, Jacob Comstock, Jessica Comstock, Billie Moffett (Robert) and Thomas Johnson; his sister Patricia Hansen (Dale); and his pet Harky. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
