She was predeceased by: her parents, Harrison Owen Slaughter Sr. and Grace Lee Patterson Slaughter; and her siblings, Harrison Owen Slaughter Jr., Laurece Slaughter, Richard Slaughter and Carol Slaughter.
She is survived by: her children, Jack B. Owen, Jr. (Kelly), Thomas E. Owen (Leslie) of Paola, KS and Pamela E. Myer of Leesburg, FL.; her grandchildren, Lindsey, Courtney, Adair, Judith, Bradley, Jared, Madison and Cassity; her great grandchildren, Owen, Reese, Tate, Jack, Lucy, Alexander, Theodore, Felicity, Duncan and Clementine; and her sister Judith Bowman of Virginia.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mount Dora Home and Bible School or Cornerstone Hospice House in The Villages.
