He is survived by: his wife Betty McGuire Sweeney; his children, Luann Sweeney of Leesburg, Lisa Nichols of Jacksonville and Jerry D. Jay Sweeney (Becky) of Leesburg, Florida.; and his brothers, William Sweeney of Ironton and Harley "Mike" Sweeney (Bonnie) of Missouri.
