“Hugh is a remarkable man. I met him in a time of need and he was there for me and we became good friends in 2019. I had texted him just days before he passed so we could meet for lunch. I was devastated when I found out he was gone. So many people were blessed to have had him in their lives. My sincere condolences to his family. From all I knew, he was in great health. “Sorry to hear of Hugh's passing. I met Hugh in 1992. He was working at the Boys and Girls Club in Yemassee, SC., and I was secretary of the elementary school in that area. He was such a nice guy and was a great mentor for the students. We stopped communicating when he moved to Ocala, FL. Praying that the Lord will give strength to the family during this difficult time.
