She was predeceased by: her parents, Imogen Parmelee and Robert Parmelee; her husband Jimmie; her son James "Jamie" Wesley Sikes Jr.; and her sister Lou P. Hatton.

She is survived by: her daughter Shannon Knapp (Richard); and her sister Jane P. Newell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
