He was predeceased by: his son Rick; his parent Herman; and his brothers, Joe and Bill. He is survived by: his wife Mary (Werner); and his siblings, Jimmy Paul, Ben Paul, John Paul and Mary Luella. He is also survived by his 14 children and their spouses, Herman III (Barbara), Fred (Sue), Tom (Tzivia), Nancy (Phil), Rose (Ron), Gloria (Tom), Marian, Mike (Charlene), Daniel, Helen, David (Mercedes), Don (Christy), Dennis (Mary) and Stephen (Heather) as well as 39 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
