He was predeceased by: his wives, Karen Burns (Chavez) and Joanne Collins (Mazzeo); his parents, Roxie Burns (Ramey) and Thomas Edward Burns; his son David; and his siblings, Peggy, Frances, Marie, Harriet and Tommy.
He is survived by: his children, Paul R. Burns Jr. (Kami) of Paso Robles, Stephen Burns (Diane Neuharth) of Norton and Kelly Evans (Stephen) of Norton; and his siblings, Roxann, Judy, Johnny and Jimmy. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, one great granddaughter.
