He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Doc" Addison and Inez Addison; his wife Senie Addison; and his brothers, Alfred and Ernest Addison.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Wood (Hardy) of Wellborn and Edward Matthew Addison, Jr. of Raiford; his grandchildren, Bethany Jones, Abigail Parrish (Tyler), Noah Jones (Taylor), Dalton Addison and Dustin Addison; and his great grandchildren, Waylon Parrish, Paisley Parrish, Ensley Parrish and Declan Jones.
