He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Schumacher and Verna Schumacher (Redden); his wife June G. Gramley; his daughter Karen K. Hartbank; and his sister Dr Erma Vanderzant.
He is survived by: his children, Dianne S. Anderson (John) of Summerfield, FL and Robert M. Schumacher, Jr. (Mary) of Wheaton, IL; his grandchildren, Jay Hartbank, Amanda Anderson, Jennifer Anderson (Crump), John Anderson Jr., Ryan, Robert Alex, Catherine Fredrickson (Schumacher) and Adam Schumacher; and his brother Alvin Schumacher of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
