With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sheriff Jennings Murrhee of Keystone Heights, Florida, born in Green Cove Springs, Florida, who passed away on October 1, 2022 at the age of 96. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Jennings Murrhee Sr. and Kathleen Pigue Murrhee; his wife Georgia Walker Murrhee; his brother Richard Murrhee; his son Michael Jennings Murrhee Sr.; his grandson William Wilkes (Scott); and his son-in-law Judge William A. Wilkes.
He is survived by: his daughter Delores Wilkes; his grandchildren, Joey Wilkes, Dana Brock (Greg), Kristen West (Andy), Nikki Jolley (Traé) and Michael Murrhee Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Jennings Wilkes, Anna Veon (Cody), Clayton Wilkes, Tyler Brock, Harper Wilkes, Georgia West, Jacé Jolly, Aubrey Brock and Caroline West.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jennings' name to The Clay County Sheriff's Office as a benefit for the men and women of the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
