He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Snipes and Ruthie L. Snipes (Purvis); his wife Shelby Snipes (Bradshaw); and his grandson Jerrimy Sumner. He is survived by: his children, Tammy Snipes Browning (Charles "Stewart") of Starke, Kevin Snipes of Starke and Timmy Hackney (Tina); his siblings, Betty Ann Baxter of Atlantic Beach, Ruby Moore (J. D.) of Palatka and John "Tommy" Snipes of Jacksonville; his grandsons, Jason Hackney, Garrett Hackney, Christopher Sumner and Travis Ryan Horne; and his great grandchildren, Paislee, Xavier Sumner and Elijah Sumner.
