He was predeceased by: his parents, James Darrell and Eddie Johns Lewis; and his wife Mary Fender Lewis. He is survived by: his son John Cason Lewis, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Rosanne Blanchett Lewis; his son Terry Bennett; and his sisters-in-law, Eula S. Lewis and Jean F. Griffey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
