He was predeceased by: his father Leon Gray Meeks, Sr.; his wife Margie Smith Meeks; and his siblings, Helen Taylor, L. G. Meeks, Jr., Mable Efthin, Emily Cummins, Charles Meeks and Eddie Meeks.
He is survived by: his children, Evelyn Scheider (Lewis) of Jacksonville, Beth Boals (Mark) of Gainesville, Florida and Jimmie Meeks, II of Jacksonville, Florida; his grandchildren, Taylor Roberts (Bryan), Levi Boals, Jordan Scheider, Lane Boals, Macy Meeks (Paul) and Hunter Meeks; his great grandchildren, Haleigh Roberts, Tucker Roberts, Tanner Roberts and Taylin Roberts; and his siblings, Marion Booth, Lynette Wallace, George Meeks and Ann Williams (James). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
