She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawton Johnson and Mary Eva Haire Johnson; and her sister Janice McAllister. She is survived by: her husband James D. "Jim" Alvarez; her children, Jamie Alvarez Berryman, Alan Alvarez (Susan), Jori Covington (Robert) and Jana Stearns (Bobby); her grandchildren, Kristen, Lauren, Kellen, Brent, Brian, Bradley, Bethany, Bryce, Leah and Erika; and her siblings, Geri McKenzie (Don), Connie Caldwell and Marc Motes. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
