He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Maxi Mathews and Martha Nell Mooney; and his siblings, Mack Mathews, James Mathews, Ronnie Mathews, Tommy Mathews and Diane Walker.
He is survived by: his wife Gisella (Tizian); his children, Michael Mathews (Carly) and Sabrina Henderson (Troy); his grandchildren, Kyleigh, Chase, Emma, Rylen, Brody and Luke; his great grandchild Kinleigh; and his siblings, Charles Mathews, Warren Mathews, Kathy Everetts, Martha Mathews and Peggy Driggers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
