She was predeceased by: her former husbands, Grover Cleveland "Pat" Patterson and J. T. Jones; her husband J. Murray Ford; her parents, William McStephenson and Eola Driggers McStephenson; and her brothers, William P. "Buddy" McStephenson and Raymond McStephenson.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Ann Payne and Jeffory Lee Patterson; her stepson Steve Jones (Judy); and her sisters, Marie Kelly, Shirley Lorenz, Mary Jean Mock and Edna "Patsy" Parkes. She is also survived by three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and also, many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Betty Lou's has asked, if able, to make donations to Rise Church.
