He was predeceased by: his parents, Milford Ellis and Violet Elizabeth Howell (LaPorte); his siblings, Walter "Buck", Milford "Toad", Francis "Pud" Howell and Dorothy "Dot" Taylor; his wife Wanda Leola Howell (Orr); his daughter Abby Holcomb; and his grandson Dillen Holcomb.
He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Malterer (Ren); his grandchildren, Troy Hawkins (Deeann) and Amanda Leggett (Dennis); and his great grandchildren, Pyper, Abagail, Bristol and Jaelyn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
