He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Lanier; his son James A. Lanier; and his siblings, J. C. Lanier, Estelle Hight and Gertrude Lawson.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen; his son-in-law Jim Myers of Interlachen; his grandson Brent Lanier of Stuart; his great grandchild Brandon Lanier; his niece Ginny Rogers; and his great-niece Beth of Stuart.
