He was predeceased by: his wife Sherry Thomas Morris; and his parents, James A. Morris and Addie Morris. He is survived by: his children, Laura Renda (James) of Chapin, SC and Ronald J. Morris, Jr. (Lois) of Bamberg, SC; his siblings, Macey Thomas of Palatka, Shirley Day of Palatka, James Morris (Hilda) of Interlachen and Anthony Morris of Interlachen; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Marie Renda, Staci Anne Renda, Saleta Ann Morris, Kristin Elaine Morris, Cody Dillon Morris (Amber) and Laura Michelle Hedrick (D. J.). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
