She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Martin and Jeanette Martin (Schlaefer); and her brother Dennis Martin. She is survived by: her husband Merle Stanley Hitchner; her children, Erica Guira (Ali) and Michelle Hitchner; and her granddaughter Yasmine Guira. She is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
