He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth M. Scott and Roamey Hall Scott; his siblings, Terry Joe Scott and Kathy Schultz; and his former wife Deborah Joan Scott.

He is survived by: his wife Kathryn "Katy" Scott of Interlachen; his children, Russell Scott (Caroline) of Troy, SC, Marion Scott of Greenwood, SC and Kristi Scott of War Shoals, SC; his siblings, Jeffrey Scott (Cindy) and Marian Strunk (Fred) of Interlachen; and his grandchildren, Kortney, Lane, Justin and Kandice.
