He was predeceased by: his parents, John Overton and Gladys Overton; his sister Vicky; his brother-in-law Creal Langston; and his granddaughter Samantha Overton.
He is survived by: his daughter Tonya Lynn; his son-in-law Shannon Cone of Palatka; and his sons, Brian (Jinger Overton) and John R. (Cindy Overton). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
