He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro Rubio and Emilia Ruiz-Rubio. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Rubio; his children, Peter, Monica, Meghan and Javier; and his grandchildren, Kyle, Thomas, Adam, Alyssa, Devin, Noah, Graciela, Nadia, Bianca, Laila, Abella, Dominick and Michael Ann.
