He was predeceased by: his son Raymond Almeida; his parents, August Almeida and Evarista Almeida (Calisto); and his siblings, Mary Soares, Theresa Lopes, Arthur, August, Edward (Mary), Benjamin (Rita) and Gilbert Almeida (Madeline).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Almeida (Ventura); and his children, Joseph Almeida Jr., Theresa M. Nash, Mary Lou Mancieri, Bernadette Almeida and Carol Lee Proto (Frank). He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and great-great grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews.
