With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dow Demetrius Reid Jr. of Hastings, Florida, born in Palatka, Florida, who passed away on July 31, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Anne Louise Connahey; his wife Margot Reid; his parents, Dow D. Reid, Sr. and Bernice Corbett Reid; and his sisters, Alice Freeman Kline and Eloise Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Jill Carpenter (David) of St. Augustine and Steve Reid of Hastings; and his grandchildren, Jackie Carpenter, Tiffany Keelin (Chris), Jordan Travis Reid, Shelby Scott (Matt), Jordan Kaplan (Jason), Ian Reid and Nicholas Reid. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M.
