He is survived by: his wife Cassandra C. Varnes; his children, Amelia T. Andrews, Xavier Whitfield and Lemorin Lewis; his close friend Janie M. Hardy; his siblings, John H. Peeples and Brenda Baskin (Donald); his sisters-in-law, Patricia Varnes and Hazel Wesley; his goddaughter Juanita Carr; his nieces and nephews, Voncell Long, Harry Varnes, Aungenatta Sampson, Harriet Varnes, Darryl Varnes, Jereline V. Jackson, Toria Varnes, Quarterria Varnes, Tangela Varnes, Jennifer McCloud, George R. Dengal, Aleshia Varnes, Harold Fenderson, Shantrea Calloway, William Peeples, Ebonnee Crumpton and Sharon Young; and his children, Loretta Durham, Jackie of Washington, Brenda Cooper, Pam Jenkins and Annie Brown (Shelby E. Jack). He is also survived by great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and many caring friends.
