He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Albert and Beatrice Hoover Suttle; his siblings, Alma Suttle Anthony Nemrava and Ralph Herbert Suttle, Sr.; his former wife Mildred "Dot" Whatley Suttle; his stepson William Edgar Mosely Whatley; and his brother-in-law Russell E. Schaefer.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Jenkins Suttle; his stepson Ted Whatley, Jr. of Lake Worth, FL; his nieces, Joan Freeman and Rose Glass of Palm Coast; his sister-in-law Birdie Suttle of Mt. Holly, NC; his niece Michelle Suttle of Mt. Holly, NC; his daughter-in-law Kate Freidank of Delray Beach, FL; and his nieces and nephews, Cheryl Laudadio, Marcie Allen of Greensburg, PA., Robert Michael Suttle of Kings Mtn, Matthew R. Schaefer of New Castle, PA and Stephen B. Schaefer of Harrisburg, PA.. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
