He was predeceased by: his parents, George Davis and Abbie Jones-Patterson; and his sister Francis Riner. He is survived by: his wife Annette (Shuman); his children, Angela Strausbaugh (Michael) and Richard Jr. (Amy); his grandchildren, Brenden, Parker, Kendal, Avery and Reece; and his brother Tom (Faye).
