He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Emilienburg Pridgen; his children, Carlton Dean Pridgen (Traci) and Laura Pridgen Price (Robert Price); his grandchildren, Timothy Pridgen, Rachel Pridgen, Mason Ratliff, Zachary Price (Jessi), Joseph Patterson (Taylor), Emily Price and Ashley Patterson; his great grandchildren, Brentley Newhouse and Maverick Patterson; his brother Ernest Gerald Pridgen (Deanna "Wikki"); his half-brother Raymond Odom; his stepsiblings, Robert Odom, Frances Odom Ferrell (Archie) and Ruth Ann Odom; his nephew Dwayne Ferrell; and his nieces, Kristen Pridgen, Suzie Ferrell McClelland, Kimberly Ehlers and Sabrina McGarity.
After dealing with a variety of complications from Covid-19, he went to be with his Heavenly Father on July 1, 2021, in Jacksonville, Florida.
