He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sr. Patterson and Gladys Patterson; and his siblings, Charles Patterson, Bobby Patterson and Margaret Eroh.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Patterson; his children, Jimmy Patterson (Katina), Josh Patterson (Alicia) and Jennifer Stauffer (William); his sisters, Thelma McCormick and Mary Marcum; his sister-in-law Andrea Dudley; and his grandchildren, Olivia, Aiden, Andrew and Ava.
