He was predeceased by: his uncle William Ellison; and his aunts, Shirley Smith and Agnes Elizabeth Dew. He is survived by: his parents, Martin Smith and Catherine "Cathy" Smith; his uncles, Joseph Howard (Gail), Wayne Howard (Karen) and Albert Smith (Rose); and his great-aunt Merlene Blanchard.
