He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Rueff and Bessie Rueff (Blades); his wife Margot; and his siblings, Kenneth, Mary, Reba and John.

He is survived by: his children, Dale (Kim), Michael, Kenneth (Susan) and Diane Gerner (Scott); his grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Kyle, Emily and Alex; his great grandchild Maddux; and his brothers, Frank Rueff (Brenda) and Robert Rueff (Gladys).
