She was predeceased by: her parents, Elliot Thornton and Alma Thornton (Gavin); her husband Leon Respress; and her siblings, James Thornton, Ernest Thornton, Gordon Thornton, Laurie Thornton, Henry Thornton, Bonnie Ehrlichman and Marietta Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Garcia (Frank) of Frostproof, FL, Ernest L. Respress (Lynn) of Frostproof, FL, Henry Grady Respress (Donna) of Frostproof, FL and Richard A Respress of Frostproof, FL; and her brothers, Vernon Thornton of Frostproof, FL and Ellis "Pender" Thornton (Mary) of Jefferson, GA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
