He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer L. Bachtold and Wilma Bachtold (Kupferschmid); and his former spouse Beverly Horine. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Klein; his children, Leonard Klein, Scott Bachtold (Traci), Matt Bachtold (DeAnne) of Brownsburg, IN, Brad Bachtold (Beth) and Shay Wessels (Dale); his sisters, Shirley Denick, Sharon Metz, Verna Feely, Janice Settles and Linda Kinder; and his grandchildren, Joel, Jara Bachtold, Cale, Nate Bachtold, Austin, Oliva Bachtold, Brett, Kendall Eisenhauer, Jordan Steidinger, Ethan, Landon and Derek Wessels. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
