She was predeceased by: her husband Oscar Underwood Tippin; her parents, Julia Wiggins and Daniel Parker; and her sister Gladys Odel Parker (Alford). She is survived by: her son Wayne Austin Tippin Sr.; her nephew William Claude Peavy Jr.; and her daughter-in-law Ikue Tippin (Akai). She is also survived by three grandsons, two great granddaughters, four great grandsons, and one great great grandson.
