He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen O'Connell (Tewksbury) and John J. "Rocky" O'Connell; his sibling Baby Helen O'Connell; his grandmother Julia M. O'Connell (Houlihan); his aunt Mary T.; and his uncles, James V. and William I. O'Connell.

He is survived by: his sister Catherine O'Connell of North Weymouth; and his friend Bill "Gus" Gustafson of Ft. Lauderdale.
