We are sad to announce that on June 10, 2023, at the age of 92, Mother Burn Eva Carter (Deland, Florida) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Johnson and Sarah Jane Johnson; her spouse Dea; her siblings, Mary Cooper, Sarah Johnson, James Johnson, Jr., Robert Johnson, Willie Johnson, Warren Johnson, Gordon Johnson and George Johnson; and her son Gordon Johnson.

She is survived by: her children, James Michael Carter and Terresa Carter-Watson (Derek); her extended family, Rebecca Guilyard and Lillian Jones; her daughter-in-law Vernita Simpson Carter; her sister Frances McCall of Jacksonville, FL; her aunt Alice Tina; her sister Bertha Hezekiah (Brenda); and her grandchildren, Rakisha, Jamahr of Jazmine, LJ, Nakasha, Nacoma, Taylor, Tyra, Tia, Cyrus, Tyrone, David, Aiesha, Cecilia and Lydia. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
