It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Lawton Strickland of Deland, Florida, born in Screven, Georgia, who passed away on November 14, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Mae Taylor Strickland and Estus Strickland; his wife Willie Parr Strickland; his son Terry Strickland; and his siblings, Frank, Marvin, Tommy Strickland, Sally Strickland and Norma Jean Batten.
He is survived by: his daughter Wendy Bonner (Robert) of Gray; and his siblings, Johnny Strickland of Sandford, FL, Kay Buckingham of Deland, FL, Ann Weaver of Gainesville, GA and Sue Hall. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
