He was predeceased by: his parents, Walker Cumbie and Bessie Holley Cumbie; his wife Karen; his son Donnie; his siblings, Phyliss Anne Cumbie and Lewis Cumbie; and his pet Oscar.
He is survived by: his children, Katrina Powell, Glenn Cumbie (Margaret) and Sheila Hamm (Arthur); and his sisters, Faye Permenter and Wanda Colvin (David). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
