He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Clayton Nichols and Ola Brock Nichols; and his brothers, Howard Nichols and Andy Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Helen L. Nichols of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; his children, Cynthia Hart and Danny Nichols Jr.; his stepchildren, Rebecca Bandy, Julia Smith-Noble, Aimee Bray, Michael Smith and John Smith; and his sister LaWanda Mudd.
