With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Durwood Ray of Defuniak Springs, Florida, who passed away on September 15, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Murdock Ray and Vesta Butts Ray; his wife Sondra Ray; his daughters, Teresa B. Backhaus, April Lynn Reaves (Scott) and Karen D. Ray (Tim Jones); his siblings, Cecil Ray (Beverly), Bernie Ray (Judy), Eugene Ray (Betty), Edsel Ray (Mandy), Oletta Ray and Vanessa Miller (Ronnie); and his grandchildren, Jeffrey Backhaus, Aubrey Chesnutt, Kenny Backhaus, Tyler Reaves and Danielle Stephens. He was also cherished by eight great grandchildren.
