He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sister Helen Mitchell; his granddaughter Skyla Eshelman; his mother Dora Mae Mitchell; his wife Evangelist Sonja Mitchell; his children, Corey Mitchell (Tabatha), Kontar Eshelman (Tatyana), Michael Mitchell (Deedra), Jonathan Mitchell, Gabrielle Mitchell (Devon), Heather Mitchell, Abigail Mitchell, Tashalyn Causey (Tyrone), James-Ricky Giles Jr. (Denate) and Moneice Griffin (Danny); his siblings, Ronald Mitchell (Rita), Milton Mitchell (Sara), Beverly Mitchell and Debra Mitchell; and his friend Due. He was also cherished by 21 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
