She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Oscar Berning and Marjorie Berning; her husband Jim Houle; her children, Debbie White (Vance), Lisa Cody (Rebecca Leeman), Teresa DeSanto (Tom) and David Cody (Lynne); her sister Janice Kirkland; her niece Laurel Johns (Nat Hetzer); her nephew Graham Kirkland (Meg Watson); her great-niece Louisa Kirkland; her grandchildren, Christopher White, Cody White, Phillip DeSanto, Stephanie Cody, Audra Greuel, Abby Amos (Brady) and Walker Cody; her great grandchild Wyatt Amos; and her stepchildren, Kim Jordan, Tim Houle, Karin Ellis, Tom Houle, Kelli Floyd, Bjorn Jiskoot (Maudie), Danny Jiskoot and Maggie Soderholm.
