Alice L. Britton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice L. Britton of Clewiston, Florida, born in Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on December 27, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Messer and Ruth Messer (Lockett); her stepsisters, Ella J. George and Willie Mae Oliver; her siblings, Valease Messer, Yvonne Jones, Mildretta Messer and Quentin Messer; and her brothers-in-law, Winston L. Rogers and Raymond Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Spencer Britton of Blue Springs, MO and Rev. Rhonda Britton of Halifax; her sisters, Wilma Rogers of Miami, FL, Alveta Smith (James) of Hampton, Rev. Delano McIntosh of Apollo Beach, FL and Myra Anderson of Tampa, FL.; her grandchildren, Joseph, Corey and Nikki; her sister Rev. Daisy Hill; her children, Kenneth Williams of Clewiston, FL and Nichele Bankston; and her goddaughter Dizena Smith of Clewiston, FL.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She traveled to Florida in January 2020 and was unable to return due to pandemic restrictions.
