Mary Brettner Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2023, at the age of 98, Mary Brettner of Clearwater, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Mary Kelly Sargent of Utica, NY. and Raymond Frances Sargent of Broad Brook, CT.; and her brothers, Raymond Jr., Theodore, William and Thomas.

She is survived by: her daughter Vicki (Emory); her grandson Ian (Jennifer); her great grandchildren, Zach, Natalie, Bethany, Scott, Peggy (Mike) and Chris; her daughter Jackie (Lauren); her grandchildren, Sophia and Alistair; her sons, Ted (Alicia) and Harrison; and also, David, Melissa (Harry), Michael, Nikki, Melinda (Matt) and Jacob.

During the war, she tested dyes at American Cyanamid as her contribution to the war effort.
